Balanced Diet
A balanced diet is as easy as child’s play. This is important to debunk early on, since well balanced diets require the intake of healthy oils - such as olive oil – in order to fulfill the body’s need for a variety of substances and also to aid the solubility of fat-soluble vitamins. Additional components of a balanced diet include protein – quite often in the form of meat, unless you are following a balanced vegetarian diet – and carbohydrates. While recent diet fads have decried carbohydrates as being the enemy, it is imperative to realize that a balanced diet requires healthy carbohydrates to help the body stay healthy. Thus, a healthy balanced diet will not be top-heavy but cutting out one of the components altogether. The benefits of a balanced diet are easily understood when you keep in mind the fact that when you eat a balanced diet you will not have to supplement to add to your food that which you are otherwise missing. In addition, a balanced diet will not put your health at risk by asking you to overdo protein intake at the expense of your cardiovascular health. So, what is a balanced diet? The best balanced diet is a diet that consists of balancing all the food groups.
